MUSIC LESSONS

It’s been one of the honors of my life to get to be part of my students’ musical journeys. I offer songwriting coaching and guitar lessons to both children and adults online and in person. You can read more on my thoughts on musical education below and please reach out with any questions!

GUITAR LESSONS:

Learning a musical instrument should be fun and inspiring. In private lessons and workshops I strive to cultivate a nurturing space where students feel free to express themselves, make mistakes and grow.

I believe in the importance of paying close attention to the ways in which each student learns best. Using lesson books and popular songs we build a lesson plan tailored to each individual. I aim to strike a balance between playful and challenging that keeps students engaged, encouraged and wanting to learn more.

SONGWRITING:

I work with songwriters at all stages of their process, specializing on refining and honing lyrics and structure.

I believe first and foremost, songwriting is a powerful tool of self expression and connection. It’s a means of sharing, constellating and finding beauty in one’s own story.  Songwriting coaching and group workshops are focused on honing one’s unique style as a writer through song study, free writes and various prompts and exercises.
