EASY

By Malena Cadiz | Produced by Andrew Lappin

Single Release 8/4/2023

Cadiz is a lady of the canyon waylaid at a suburban strip mall. Lauded by NPR, The Fader, Vogue and Consequence of Sound, she conjures an ethereal world grounded in the strange realities of modern life. Her new song, “Easy,” and the 1st single off her upcoming LP is a sun-soaked glide up the California coast, a light-hearted plea to let the world fall away and surrender to the moment. A steady groove seasoned with whirring guitars and keys is anchored by Cadiz’s unmistakable voice and vivid storytelling.

Written in a moment of overwhelm and unsteadiness, Cadiz processes her longing for simplicity “At the core I was feeling restless, ragged and far from myself. I had a longing to let the world fall away and surrender to the moment, really honing in on that quiet at the end of the day – where what you did or didn’t accomplish doesn’t feel so weighty, and being in the arms of someone you love is more than enough.”

“And all the things that might have been

All the ones we didn’t win

Spark and flash and fade back into

that golden haze”

Cadiz has a voice that grabs you within seconds.
